Aids to Navigation Discrepancies

The Tri-County Lake Administrative Commission (TLAC) maintains over 200 navigation aids on Smith Mountain Lake.  For the safety of all mariners, any person who discovers an aid to navigation that may be missing, displaced, or malfunctioning, should promptly notify TLAC at (540) 721-4400 or e-mail navigation@sml.us.com.  Resident advisement enables TLAC to expedite maintenance for navigation aids.  If you are interested in monitoring a specific channel marker, or lighted shoal marker on a regular basis, please contact us, or refer to the Adopt-a-Light section of this website.
