PUBLIC NOTICE

 

The Tri-County Lake Administrative Commission and its Navigation Committee held a public hearing at on Wednesday, October 20th at the Smith Mountain Lake Association office, located at 400 Scruggs Road, Suite 2100 Moneta, VA to consider a request from Donald Holland, William and Susan Hudson and Robert and Jane Whisnant for two (2) no wake buoys to be located at Pine Ridge subdivision in Mitchell’s Cove.  All interested parties were encouraged to attend.

                                           APPLICATION STATUS

  • The Public Hearing was held on October 20, 2010. The Tri-County Lake (TLAC) Navigation Committee is scheduled to meet on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 and will subsequently provide a recommendation to the TLAC Board of Directors.  The TLAC Board is scheduled to meet on Tuesday, December 7, 2010.
  • The TLAC Board of Directors, during the December 7, 2010 meeting, voted to recommend rejection of the application .  The application will be forwarded to Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries for review.
  • In a letter dated February 17, 2011, the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries (VDGIF) denied the application/request for two no wake buoys at Pine Ridge Subdivision.
