Water Quality

The Smith Mountain Lake Association (SMLA), in cooperation with Ferrum College, has monitored the water quality of Smith Mountain Lake for over 20 years.  The Tri-County Lake Administrative Commission (TLAC) is pleased to participate in the Smith Mountain Lake Water Quality Program by providing $20.000.00 towards this effort.

In addition, TLAC recently submitted a legislative request, and was successful in obtaining supplementary financial support in the amount of $20,000.00 from the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) for this Water Quality Program.
